Livingroom Concert Network is looking for people who love music and want to open up their homes to great musicians with a story to tell.
Right now we´re in the middle of builing up a national danish network of music enthusiasts, who want to help introducing ”Livingroom Concert” in Denmark.
The concept is originally from The United States, where “Livingroom Concerts” or “House Concerts” have been a natural part the concert activities for a lot of musicians for years. It´s a whole different way of experiencing an artist, and the intimacy of a private home gives both audience and artist a very unique musical experience.
The receipe is simple: As a host you invite one or more artists to play an acoustic concert in your home, a community house or any other good location. Then you invite all the friends, relatives and business partners you want to share the evening with. Each guest pays a fee of typically 75 – 125 DKK to the host, who might have bought some wine, beer, soft drinks and snacks, included in the prize. When the host´s expenses are covered the musicians split the rest of the money between them.
Livingroom Concert Network is a direct connection between artist and audience. The idea is to cut off all the unnecessary “businessmen” of the music industry such as managers, bookers, promoters and venues, and give the music back to the audience!
